In 2005, I obtained my graduate degree from UW-Milwaukee in Educational Psychology with an emphasis in Community Counseling. While in graduate school I worked as a mentor, tutor, and crisis worker. After graduation I became employed as a psychotherapist and also assisted on a research study relating to men and their apprehensions on seeking therapy. In June 2007, as a case manager and supervisor, I gained experience working with individuals with chronic mental illness, and I began teaching graduate courses at Lakeland College. I have taught the following courses: Assessment in Counseling, Community Counseling, Practicum in Counseling, Internship in Counseling and Group Counseling. In May of 2008, I started at Alternatives in Psychological Consultation as a psychotherapist. I hope to obtain my doctorate in Counseling Psychology in the future. In 2010, I began teaching sociology and psychology courses at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, WI and Racine, WI.In 2012, I began to think more about my client’s needs outside of the session and I wanted to create a place for them to find information as well as another option for our sessions. This is NOT just about counseling, but a place to find mental health information, healthy recipes, exercise ideas, good books, and inexpensive ways to clean the home. This website is a work in progress. I’m adding as I go and I hope that someday it will be a great website!
